comfortable room airy room poor care cold area
The room WAS bright, airy, and comfortable. It had a SPLENDID view of sweeping lawns and a good-sized wardrobe with plenty of hangers. The bathroom also felt well appointed.
Customer care seemed VERY poor. I came down for dinner only to be told they closed early. The bar area was cold.

the staff were pleasant. the room was clean. a large free car park was available to all guests.

period features maintained garden poor wifi difficult access
the location is quite attractive and the hotel shows period features. the gardens were maintained well and there was lots of space.
the wi-fi did not reach my room i needed to work. there was only one bar so i had to use my data. there was no easy access to a power socket it was difficult to plug in my phone

the hall and reception made a great first impression as i walked in. my room was very clean and had all the essentials, including coffee, tea, biscuits, and water in a glass bottle (i really liked that). i found sockets conveniently placed beside the bed, a detail i appreciate.
during breakfast service, the pace was slow, and some menu options weren't available. this.

beautiful grounds ample room added touch
The building sits within fine landscape. I received both still and sparkling water upon arrival. The provided dressing gowns and slippers added a touch of luxury to my stay. My bedroom was quite spacious, offering ample room to relax after a long day of travel.
The bar area felt a bit cold during the evening hours.
